An "Amazon technical support associate" is a Customer Service Representative who has shown outstanding aptitude and interest in digital technology, services and devices, and undertaken extensive specialized training in order to assist our customers with their digital related queries. These representatives are worldwide and selected for their passion, not their location.
While most of Amazons technical support associates choose to specialize in one, or a handful of areas, such as Fire TV, Kindle, Echo, AIV, Music, Cloud Services, etc., the Amazon Digital and Device Forum Moderators Are trained in every device and service offered to customers, in order to accommodate the diversity of questions that arise here.
Because of the very public nature of the Digital and Device Forums, we are unable to discuss personal or private account related information here. This includes, but is not limited to:
Account related information. (Subscriptions, charges, purchases, etc.).
If we have exhausted the troubleshooting readily available without requiring access to your account, we may require you to reach out to us via phone or chat for real-time assistance from an Amazon technical support associate who does have access to your account information, and is able to fully review more in depth information such as device registrations, account settings, and the like.
"The reasons for reporting threads and the types of warnings have been simplified. Previously users could be reported and warned for offenses that are not outlined in the rules, and there were reasons to report threads that were confusing or not useful. Moving forward there will be just two options to report posts that need Moderator attention: “This post is not appropriate“ or ”Spam.“ There will still be the option to provide a description, and we encourage everyone to use this to indicate why the post needs Moderator attention (examples: ”This post is not in the appropriate section“ or ”This post contains inappropriate content“)."
