We are so excited to share that it is our 1st Anniversary here in the forums! We have been through a lot together, from product announcements to long clarification posts. You have been with us for our first leg in this journey of the Digital and Device forums.
Thank you so much to all of you for your help and support throughout this year! Thank you for consistently providing such useful information and going above and beyond to help those in need. We really could not do it without you and we are so happy to celebrate this momentous occasion with you!
What an incredible year! On behalf of everyone in the Amazon Forum & Moderator Family, I would like to thank you and say that we look forward to the many wonderful years to come!
We'd love to hear some of your favorite Forum memories, please feel free to share them here.
Hello Forum people, My name is Zach and I am a Moderator for Amazon. I enjoy Film Making, Graphic Design and Web Design in my free time (Different than Kindle Freetime of course). I am also an avid adventurer, looking forward to my next outing!
It has been so much fun starting, growing, and laughing with all of you in the forums! We love seeing everyone's feedback, suggestions, and ideas and we do our very best to make this forum a great place to come and hang out!
We are not perfect, and everyday is a day one here - we love our jobs and we love this Forum. We do our best to make this a warm, welcoming environment and also help our users!
We are so incredibly grateful for our users who have been with us since day one and the users who just signed in for the first time 5 minutes ago, we love to see the user-to-user assistance and we have even learned a thing or two from some of our long-time users.
It's hard to believe it's been a year already! This year has given us time to look back and reflect on what would like to see changed, what we can do differently, and all the exciting things to come.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all you do - it makes coming to work everyday so exciting! There is something new everyday and at times we learn so much from everyone and about everyone! Here's to the future!!
Wow, I guess it is today. For some reason I thought it was closer to the end of the month (all I had to do is check most of us "original regulars -for lack of a better word- sign in date).
There have been some bumps along the way, but overall it's turned out great. Couldn't have happened without the work you Mods putin to keep things running smoothly for us -something that was lacking from the mods in the retired forums. I appreciate how you go beyond helping directly with the forum, and also push to get those Help pages fixed, when necessary. That is definitely a plus in helping us to help others better.
Thanks you guys for making this a great place to hang out while helping others in the process
Also, thanks to all my fellow "regulars" (I define that as being anyone who helps and posts in their own personal time frame, be it daily, weekly, monthly, or just whenever there's time). We've had some great additions in the past year, some when the forum started, some more recent. New or old (forum time speaking), this Amazon Community is generally a friendly place where everyone tends to work together to make and keep this a great "helpful" place.
I'll even acknowledge our "background followers". It may seem little to some, but to me, even if a contribution to the forum is a Helpful Vote, it DOES make a difference in letting others know if/whe a posted reply includes a helpful solution or answer. We too often complain about the "Downvote Fairies" of the past forums, but fail to acknowledge the Forum Upvote Contributors (my apologies for my part in that - you are noticed and appreciated and considered a regular by me) . Thanks to you all.

Over the past year, one of the biggest changes in the Forum has been the addition of the Smart Home section, indicating the incredibly rapid development of new capabilities constantly being added to Amazon devices - it's amazing to read, pretty much weekly, what new things Alexa can do & thanks, Mods, for, keeping us "posted" on all that - new devices themselves, Alexa-compatible products manufactured by other companies, etc. Already there's so much knowledge on the Forum about those topics - from the Mods to customers who have learned much by their own experimentation.
The Forum's "relaxing" a bit since it started has led to more of a feeling of camaraderie and, it almost seems, more helpful answers.
Thanks all, including all the OPs without whose questions we'd not get to learn so much. And there's always something to learn.
PS The cakes look good. When are the invitations to the big party going out?
ETA: I do wish there were some way to get more OPs to report back after they've tried the suggestions - well, the ones for whom they didn't work often do. Great that Mods are asking them too, tho.
The only thing I'd like to add to all the above is that I wish Ohio was still around to celebrate. I really miss him/her. I hate it when good posters just go "POOF."

I, too, hope nothing bad has befallen Ohio (see her name often while searching old threads). I'd like to think she was perhaps recruited to be part of the heretofore unknown AMZSSPP (Secret Shopper Protection Program) which necessitates traveling around the globe interacting with Customer Service reps and sharing her vast knowledge of Amazon's products and services.
We certainly do!! Her name gets brought up at least 2-3 times a week by the Mod team. I like to think camSoCal's scenario is what has happened and she's on these rogue tech missions as an undercover operative in exotic places a la Jack Ryan. LOL

Me too, & the Kurmudgeon, & Dietz doesn't show up often enough - gave such good info & advice to this Newbie on the old Forum.
Banned again? Happens far to often for Pirate (I fail to see why Pirate seems to be singled out or warned/banned more than others, however).
Do hope nothing bad has happened there, either.
Have you checked the UK forum?
Pirate is usually there when banned here.
So, I went looking for Pirate on UK - & can't even find the Forum - at least, not in any of the ways we might find this Forum. What on Earth does it call itself & where?
