IO have the same issue with Roku 2 2015 model with the roku 3 hardware. Freezes at 0, and I have to go home and restart the prime video app. Shows the episode just watched is only half watched. No problem streaming from the web. Works as expected. Just the roku app.
Okay obviously this is a common problem. I have several roku devices a nd prime video is the only one experiencing this problem. What does it take to get a response? I’ve tried the chat and obviously they are reading questions from a script and not helping because they are not techs. I tried phone calls and they never go through on the call back.
Customer service for Amazon ***** big times. This needs to be addressed since over 3400 have complained about it. Anyone out there from Amazon??????
Obviously there is an issue going on with Roku owners. My son has a Firestick and I had him play a series to see if he got the freezing issue. He didn't.
I have done everything I can short of a factory reset on my Roku. I have resisted that option so far.
Can you tell us if this being addressed? It's really frustrating when your device freezes, you have to exit the prime app, then reload the app. Once my Roku freezes, the only button that works is the home button.
It appears the issue has been resolved. I didn't change anything. Monday night (11/18/2019), my son was watching a series. No freezing. I watched a series later that night, no freezing. Same thing on Tuesday.
I don't know what the issues were, and I guess it doesn't matter. It appears Amazon Tech addressed it and that's all that matters.
I am having the same problem everyone else is having and I have a Roku. There are no other problems on any other applications such as Netflix -just Prime and it only started about a month or so ago. I too have tried uninstalling Prime, disconnecting the Roku, reconnecting it, re-registering it with Prime and reinstalling Prime all to no avail. It is Prime not Roku.
