Have watched three episodes of Season 1 and have English subtitles on one day and not showing the next. Have gone to cc and it shows it as on. What's happening???

I went into Apple TV settings to “subtitle language” and changed from Auto to English.

now we just have closed caption and when the characters speak Spanish it says (speaking Spanish)...not helpful.

I am having a similar problem where jack Ryan season 2 is not showing subtitles. We restarted and no luck. It worked (poorly- we would have to jump in and out of the show to get it to work) for the first few episodes and now on epi 3 we can’t get it at all. 

Our subtitles are showing in another language ie; not english. Any ideas?

Trying to watch Jack Ryan Season 2. 

Because large chunks of this series are in either Spanish or German, we rely on

automatic subtitles for non english parts.

They are not working on Apple TV Prime video app.

We have to enable English Subtitles for the entire series.

Which include moods, music, Names of speakers etc.

This is a very poor way to present this series and we are questioning whether it is 

worth paying monthly for prime at this point.

No other streaming series has problems with Apple TV (latest model and Os)

I am also having this problem, trying to stream theough a roku player.

Can only use the CC option and have annoying subtitles all the way through.

How can Amazon have made such a huge mistake?

Is it getting fixed or should I cancel my sub?

Same issue here, trying to watch season 2 on prime on PS4 and can’t understand half of the episodes 

I am having the same issue with season 2,  episode 3. The first two episodes were fine. What gives?

I am using a FireTV Stick. 

Having the same issue on Jack Ryan from Ep 1. Have checked firmware of my AppleTV, rebooted etc and still no luck. Totally ruins the series. If this isn’t sorted by the weekend I’ll have to cancel my subscription 

I am also having issues and am using an Apple TV device. Have restarted and reset all devices as instructed. What do I do now? Still won’t work.

Like the others I cannot get english subtitles to work on Jack Ryan season 2 for the non english parts.  Sort of makes it hard to figure out what is going on .  I have only tried on episode 1.  They work when I watch it on my desktop pc but not on my Roku Express or my Apple TV 3rd gen.  I have tried all the suggestions and nothing helps.  I can turn on closed captioning but that captions everything including all dialogue as well as noise such as grunts etc, so that's not satisfactory.  I am just using my free trial period but if the captions don't work by the time it's done I sure won't be paying for Prime.

Just got off chat with Amazon and they were useless. They don't know the difference between subtitles as when a foreign language is spoken and closed captioning for the deaf.

I am having same issue watched episodes 1 and 2 yesterday of JR and today no subtitles are showing for nonEnglish parts. I’ve rebooted the device (amazon stick) frustrated

Using Apple TV 4th generation... to watch Jack Ryan on Amazon Prime App. The Spanish and Russian parts are not subtitled.

I've tried all of the suggestion above without success.

Watching from Canada if that impacts it 

Please fix it.
