We have the same issue; error code 5004 appearing. Removed and Reinstalled the app; deleted data, nothing works on prime video only. Also restarted Apple TV. Very poor service if this is still occurring days after it has been reported from so many users. Disappointing.
Prime video is not working on my Apple TV 3rd Gen. It worked fine yesterday. All of the other apps - Netflix, Hulu, etc.- work fine. It says, "Problem Occurred. We're unable to complete your request. Please try again in a few minutes. If this problem continues, please contact Amazon Customer Service."
Prime video app is also not working on my iPhone - same message as above.
I guess the moderators need to remove the “resolved” tag from this thread. After 4 days of no access as described in my earlier post, I was able to watch 2 episodes of a show. Then it quit working again! 😡
I now see other posts from today with the same problem that has been going on for at least 5 days and one from the Amazon person apparently following the thread suggesting restarting the router. Been there/done that multiple times, including today.
The problem is Amazon’s. Not the router or the device. Please fix it!!!
For whatever reason, if I start the show/movie on my iPad, then Airplay it to my AppleTV, pause it on my iPad, quit the app on my iPad, I seem to, then, be able to watch on my AppleTV independently. SHEESH!
My problem seems to be related to HDR, which explains why “Fireman Sam” and movies over a few years old work but “The Grand Tour” doesn’t.
When I disable HDR on the Apple TV The Grand Tour started working again, that said HDR always worked until the last few days, Note: 4K HDR is still working fine on Netflix, when I reenable HDR it stops working again.
Exactly the same problem. Was watching Expanse on my. Apple TV. When I tried to watch Carnival Row, I started getting the error. And now nothing works on Prime video. I reset everything. From my TV to my router. Netflix works perfectly.
What is going on and why is there no feedback yet?
Same issue on AppleTV 4K, “Something went wrong - Please try again later. For more help, go to amazon.com/videohelp”. Worked fine up until a few days ago, every other app still works, it’s only an issue with Amazon Prime app. I tried rebooting AppleTV, rebooting router, deleting and reinstalling app, and deregistering and reregistering Prime app, nothing works.
