I am unable to watch amazon video via Apple TV or my LG smart TV. Seems like this is an issue for many other devices but I didn’t see a thread for AppleTV. I receive an error message to contact amazon.com/videohelp for assistance. Nothing there helps. Went through normal troubleshooting steps. Rebooted device. Uninstalled/reinstalled app. Deactivated/reactivated device. Power cycled modem/router. The app works on iPad and iPhone. Just not Apple TV or through my smart TV (LG).

Hi Ive been having the same issue for a while it’s September 9th 2019 is there still not a resolution? Will I be refunded my Prime fee for September as I can’t access prime video? it’s the only reason I have prime. Apple TV is a pretty big platform I would think that Amazon would have this resolved by now why the issue in the first place? And why hasn’t Amazon fixed this?
I have Amazon Prime app, Apple TV and a Samsung TV. I just added the Apple TV a month ago. A week ago the app froze and a screen popped up that a problem occurred with an error code 5004. I had to delete the app and reinstall it. Now a week later, the same thing happened. What is going on?
I use Apple 4K TV on Samsung TV. My internet router is a Google pod, download at 20Mbps. Have never had any problem until this evening when I got an error code 5004, went to Amazon.com/videohelp, searched the 5004/code: could not find. Rebooted the router and Apple TV, got different code: 4860.
Same issue, error 5004 on 4K Apple TV. Deregistered/reregistered, restarted to no avail. Also unable to play prime video on my iPad. Deleting and reinstalling the entire app on my Apple TV fixed but based on other comments this is an ongoing issue that needs permanent resolution.
I am experiencing the same problem with the Prime Video App on my AppleTV and Iphone. I’ve tried reinstalling and restarting after I first checked to make sure I hadn’t missed an update. I’m paying extra for all the channel subscriptions but this is affecting all programming both Amazon Original and premium Subscription channels.
I had just finished a movie on Prime Video and was attempting to access another video and All of a sudden I am unable to access any Prime Video movies on AppleTV: 5004 error. Everything else is accessible via AppleTV.
For me, everything worked fine Friday 9/6 and quit working on Saturday 9/7. As of the evening of Monday 9/8 it still doesn’t work. No error code reported on 9/7 or 9/8. The message today, 9/9, includes an error code of 5004.
i’ve tried Rebooting the Apple TV, checked for updates, rebooted the router, reregistered and re-registered the Apple TV, removed and reinstalled the app. Nothing has helped and I’ve tried all of these at least twice. All other Apple TV services work fine.
i see similar threads for other devices and one for error code 5004. Hopefully Amazon will fix their problem soon. This is getting old.
I am also unable to access Prime Video on my apple tv. This is very frustrating. I was in the middle of a movie last night and it just stopped. Still can't watch the movie. What is being done about this issue?
Everything was fine yesterday. Today I keep getting error code 5004. It doesn’t matter what I try to watch. Any show brings this error up on my Apple TV app. (4th gen, not 4K). Other devices on the same network/WiFi work just fine. Other apps on my Apple TV (Vudu, Netflix) work just fine as well. It’s only the Prime Video app having problems. Please let me know when this is resolved.
Mines been out all night. I’m sure it’s temporary. Man your customer service is almost as good as your new sketch creeper-van delivery service. Maybe after you fix the video service we all pay you for, you can tell those sketchy white vans to stop flying through my neighborhood. They’re going to kill someone.
