If anyone in the uk the patch it should work my Samsung TV auto updated it to 1240 , about a week ago , check your settings on auto update or manual do it cant speak for rest of the world but in uk update should of downloaded.
Samsung has confirmed that the software update with the fix is now available to install directly on affected TVs. It should install automatically on your TV or you can check for software updates if it hasn't installed yet. Please visit https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01201625/ for instructions.
With. Samsung 4k a 70mm ratio movie was stretched vertically to fit 16x9. Aspect ratio settings on the TV are disabled. Ruins the movie. (Works fine with Netflix.)
Turned TV off and when I turned it back on system was automatically updated and the ratio is fine now!
I feel happy for you guys and I hope that Amazon or Philips can release an app for Android TVs that fixes the aspect ratio issue on Philips TVs as well.
It’s not a Samsung issue, I have a LG C8 and have the problem
Hello firemob!
I'm sorry you're having an issue watching Prime Video on your LG C8. Some basic troubleshooting steps to start with include making sure the Prime Video app and your television are on the latest updates. If that doesn't help, can you please share a few more details about what's happening? For example, is your image stretched, too small, does it happen with all shows or only one? Any other details you can provide will be helpful so we can offer the best next steps
Why is this marked resolved? There is no solution listed. It is still an issue on my Samsung.

Same problem, philips oled 803 55". Images stretched vertically! The TV firmware is up to date. Even the prime video app. If I uninstall the app updates (so I return to the stock version of the TV) the problem is not there! Please resolve!!

This is still an issue on all 3 of my Samsung TVs. Netflix Hulu and cable channels are fine.
This has not been” resolved”
Any new ideas or just accept this like we do for YouTube app not supported by Samsung
