FYI: I was going crazy trying to figure this out as well, but I DID figure this out...
IT STILL WORKS ON THE AMAZON PRIME APP... the same app they have repeatedly said to delete and switch over to the Amazon Shopping app. I have both apps only phone and have always preferred the prime app (idk why, I just do). I never deleted it but I did start using the regular app and just out of curiosity I opened my Prime app to see if maybe I could figure out how to bring up the tray in the regular Amazon Shopping app, and low and behold there was my precious app right at the bottom ready for me to start adding more items like it always had been before. I LOVE this feature so I am absolutely thrilled it is still on the Prime app and hope that they fix it or bring it back or whatever the case may be on the regular Amazon Shopping app. If you can download the Amazon Prime app still you may want to do that if you are like me and really enjoy the shopping tray option. Hope this helps and really hope they don't take it away on that app as well.
I am also experiencing the same issue, have tried all of the troubleshooting suggestions I could find including uninstalling the app and reinstalling it but still nothing. I find t funny how Amazon has no response or solution to why it’s happening yet this thread is marked “resolved”. No Amazon, it’s clearly not resolved as all of these people including myself are still having the same issue.
I’m adding here that I really miss the tray. I find it odd that didn’t just say “we got rid of that”, which makes me wonder if it is an error. The tray made it easy to add items and also to compare things from your list to what you were adding. Bring the tray back!
Ok, so you can tap on the heart next to an item. Then it will say added to wish list. You can then tap where it says that to change which list it is saved to. Not the same as the tray, but it is still quicker than going through menus
Why has Amazon not come out to say this feature has been removed or that they're working to bring it back? This is ludicrous, they're losing a bunch of money! From what I read, 99% of those who used it, loved it. I've written the feedback Department twice via Google Play Store, iPhone users can contact them via the Apple Store. I also complained on the phone to customer service. If enough people complain, I think they'll make it a priority. Rate the App or change your rating to 1 Star on the App Store and state your dissatisfaction, that usually gets their attention.
