Amazon music stopped working in my car right after the Amazon upgrade. Amazon blames BMW and BMW blames amazon. Tried Troubleshooting with an Amazon rep for an hour. Then even brought my car into the BMW service center. No one seem to know anything or how to fix anything. Seeing how much I paid for my car I would think that BMW would be at least honest about it
Gave up. Went back to spotify and all is good. This issue plus no integration with Waze means i wont be back unfortunately. I loved the built in alexa and lyrics on the echo spot, but working in the car is more important to me. I couldnt even get Bluetooth connectivity to work as a work around, it just froze and didn't load.
So I tried an older iPhone that has not been upgraded to the latest version of Amazon Music and it works fine. Come on Amazon, give those that want to the ability to download an older version of the app
This solves the problem temporarily until a fix to the new version is approved. It is a simple and not uncommon solution used by other developers when an upgrade "breaks" a segment of the user base functionality. PLEASE consider this request.
The numbers of users impacted should be raising the severity of this issue, Amazon Music developers and product owners. Every BMW owner’s Amazon Music app Idrive integration broke with the December 15 update to the iOS app.
Can you share who is really to blame for the issue? If the app is broken because of a BMW provided sdk or service? We need to know who to talk to to resolve the issue. I have called the support number and now posted on the support forum. The support call was of no use. Are you actually able to help or only acknowledge this is an issue?
Given up waiting, cancelled subscription and signed up with Deezer which works perfectly with ConnectedDrive. Such a same Amazon treat a small group of their customers with such contempt, I was very loyal but will now try to use other sites to buy what I need. Small gestures all add up, the only way they care is when profits are affected!
Hi, I too am having the same issues, no amazon music in my 17 plate Mini JCW... as per everyone else, I shall be starting my Spotify trial tonight and amazon have 30 days to sort themselves or my prime account gets closed, as does the rest of our families... this dimply is not good enough treatment of people
Same here in my new 5 Series. Disgusted at amazon for the way they’ve treated us. Loyal customers deserve better from the richest company in the world. Many have said previously about this already and that they will only react when we hit their profits so today I have cancelled the service. It may be only a tiny and inconsequential dent for them but if we all do it they may start to realise. Spotify it is!
