Same problem in my M2. Since around Christmas when I did a Amazon update?? This is a really dangerous issue. Eventually someone is going to take their eyes off the road while driving and ?? I’ve spent hours trying to get this fixed. I thought is was something I had done . Eventually I found this forum which explained why it wasn’t working. Surely this is something Amazon could fix in a day with all the resources they have? Maybe we’re a minority that doesn’t matter to them? I know how much money I have spent on Amazon over the years which I can stop with the press of one button. Amazon It’s been long enough just get this fixed.
Same issue with my wife’s Mini Cooper S - no intigration with mini connected - checked all settings but simply not recognising app and states not comparable and disconnects. Needs fix and agree longer this goes on the more people will resort to messing with phones to connect and lead to accident!
They have one more day...... i've had enough, Spotify wins a new customer this time tomorrow.
But I doubt my decision will cause ripples on the stock exchange, after a couple of exchanges with Amazon about it my only impression is that they don't care.
I've Posted before on this thread. I did speak to BMW about it and this is what they said
"In regards to your Amazon Music app, I have looked into your issue with our Technical team, and unfortunately there is an error on our backend system. The technical team are looking into this but haven’t given us a timeframe on when this will be resolved"
So BMW seem to be suggesting its their issue, not Amazon's.
Furthermore I wonder if this might have anything to do with BMWs own collaboration with Deezer. If you look on the BMW ConnectedDrive website or in the shop on the ConnectedDrive app they are now offering something called BMW Online Entertainment which gives you access to Deezer's 30million tracks (with a one-month free trial) via an app in the car.
(I would have put a link here but the BMW ConnectedDrive website is currently down)
It doesn't make much sense for BMW for run a free Amazon app in the car if it competes with their own (chargeable) music library offering so I'm not holding my breath for the Amazon app to re-appear on the Connected screen my BMW anytime soon!
The app stopped working after a new version of the app was aivailable on the store. Exactly the same problem happend last October and was fixed by Amazon with a new version. A call with BMW confirmed that it was a problem of the app. I‘would be really surprised if the problem is now related to BMW as nothing has changed within the environment aside from the app version.
In my opionion the priority to fix this problem is very low for Amazon... a few nerds complaining will not change much of the income. I will wait another week and switch to Spotify if the problem is not fixed until then.
Kristen. It’s been 20 days since you replied to me and more than a month since this issue began. A lot can be done in more than a month. I cannot believe fixing an app is taking this long. This is obviously in a very low priority for Amazon. What is going on?
The complete lack of information was unacceptable, it doesn't take over a month to fix something that used to work, then updated and stopped.
I'm confused by the inference that it's BMW's issue, Amazon updated the app and this is when it stopped working, OK I accept the thought process that suggests Amazon do not own BMW so they, BMW, have to make their software compatible to enable it to run in their cars, not down to Amazon to make their system run in a certain German car manufacturers products.
But it's Amazon I pay money to every month, so it's them that have just lost an infinitesimally small, to them, revenue.
I've just finished retrofit for BMW apps in my car (6NR). Planning and work took me many weeks and an invest of nearly 200 € for a special BMW-code (certificate) you have to import in the car. One of the main reasons for doing that was that I wanted to use Amazon music in the car fully intergrated! And now Amazon killed this feature... Come on, Amazon... Fix it!
I thank you all for your patience and understanding with this issue. I do understand how frustrating this is. This is still a priority that we are actively working with BMW on for resolution. Still no ETA, but as soon as that changes I will post here.
Kristen. How many people are working on this? How many hours are they putting to this? No ETA means no commitment means no one cares. Please give us an ETA soon.
This has been an issue for me for well over a month now and still no update. I am amazed! Amazon really don’t give a toss about their bmw customers it seems. Is this affecting other car infotainment systems? I work in software development and if we had our whole user base unable to use one of the primary functions of our apps with a bug after an update then we would all be out of a job! Where was the QA and testing prior to this being released? Maybe we are the testers! Spotify here I come...

Put me also on the list here.
Why not publishing the codebase on github and we fix it for you ;-)

Why is´t there a solution of this extrange issue?
maybe the solution is cancel the amazon music subcription and use spotify...
all of this is frustrating and nobody from Amazon or BMW says anything about it...
Habe das selbe Problem.Nach einem Update sind die App Entwickler nicht in der Lage die Anforderung für die BMW Integration zu erfüllen.🤦🏼♂️

Same here with mini connected. Have now switched to Spotify which works no problem. So disappointed. Love amazon music but couldn’t wait forever
@Amazon: Any news?
Hope that will be fixed soon. The alternatives for music in our 2 BMWs are Spotify and Deezer.

Audible updated a couple of days ago and now is not working too 🙄
Same issue, BMW 520D 2012.

Same issue here 520d 2018. Moved from Apple Music due to echos and ConnectedDrive support. Regretting that decision now.
Same here, within the last three months the Interface was not working for several weeks - sorry, that´s not acceptable. I will switch to Spotify.
Subscription cancelled......

OK Spotify, lets see what you're about !!!
Same Problem. X3 F25
