I just started using Prime photos. I need it to link to forums following Photobucket debacle.
I have figured out how to insert photos into a forum. However, few days later the photo vanished and was replaced by an icon (photo not found). When editing, the photo reappeared. SO the link did not change. I am using an iMac.
My 1st method was to go in my album, click on the photo, right click and copy the photo address. But as I said, the photo vanished in the forum I was posting it to.
I am now trying a second method: click in the photo, then open in another tab, and from there, copy the link. This link is different from the 1st method. I have reinserted the photo and will keep an eye on it.
Is this second method the correct (and very windy way) to publish them in forums? I have not tried yet with my blog (Wordpress) to insert photos from Prime. If this fails too or the photos vanish after few days, I really don't see the point of keeping photos here.
Any thoughts? Anyone using PRIME for this purpose? i.e. posting photos in forums and blog. Kindly let me know. Thanks.
In order to share from a Fire to Fbook or other social media by that procedure for uploading, you have to have first connected your social media accounts to your Amazon acct. You can do it when setting up a new Fire - you're asked if you want to in the process - or afterwards, Settings > My Account > Social Networks.
(I just find it easier to go the other way - when on a Fire on Fbook or in email or any other page on which you can insert or attach pics, tap that site's icon for adding a photo - paperclip in email, camera on Fbook, "Upload an Image" under the bottom left corner of this text block to add one here - then choose the source from the app list, which includes Prime Photos, and there you tap the pic.)
(And I understand that the question is about embedding, not sharing, but the info given in the link was incomplete - thought it might be useful to somebody.)
