I love the facial recognition feature but from all the photos I've uploaded after October 22, 2017, facial recognition seems to have stopped and it has not organized the photos I've uploaded over the past 3 months. Called customer service and they said it was an "unidentified" issue. The rep did not seem to be knowledgable of the service. Anyone else experience this service stop working? Also, can't wait to be able to add manually and un-tag.
Apparently they're rolling out tagging support so that people or things and maybe locations can be tagged or untagged. I was told right now it's being added to new prime photo accounts first, presumably to give them a chance to work out the kinks before giving it to the heavy users. I came across this tidbit accidentally because I was given support instructions that we premature. The rollout should start hitting the rest of us in January.
I wanted to slide in here and confirm this is not a rumor! We don't have an exact date, but January 2018 will see an update starting to roll out to current Prime Photos customers that will allow customers to change, remove, add and edit tags through their desktop, Android, Fire Tablet and iOS apps.
When the update is rolled out, you may temporarily see error messages until the update is complete.
Stepping out of my "Staff" role - I agree with all of you. I am a Prime Photos user as well, and have the exact same issue. Let's all keep each other updated as we start to see this change, and I am really looking forward to it! I've got a whole bunch of my children's baby pictures that are mistagged
I'm looking forward to the new features. At least then I won't have to explain to two teenage daughters (that are very alike) that we do not love one child more than the other, despite the eldest being tagged 7000 times and the younger 440.
I know we are just into February now, but when are the changes supposed to start rolling out to Prime members? I didn't see anything happen in January. I have several mistagged photos that I'd love to sort out!
