Here's a question for Amazon helpdesk staff or anyone who can assist: I have a dehydrator that doesn't have a built in timer. I'd like to be able to plug it in to an Amazon Smart Plug and then have it run for a set time and then turn off. Depending on what I have in the dehydrator the time could vary from 4 to 20 hours or more. Ideally I'd like tyo be able to say something like: "Alexa, turn Smart Plug on. Alexa, turn Smart Plug off in 13 hours" if that's asking too much how about "Alexa, turn Smart Plug off at 4 a.m."
That's a bit disappointing. You'd think that would be a fairly simple programming edit for a feature that would be quite useful. I was looking at setting up a few routines that might accomplish the same thing only to find that the "wait" command didn't go for longer than four hours. Sheesh! Now I'm gonna have to see if I can do nested waits within a routine.
