I have a full Amazon echo environment through my house, including three full size echos and two dots. One of my rooms (titled "Amelia's Room") contains an echo dot as well as two smart switches (each with lamps). Over the last couple of days, the using command "Alexa, Turn of Amelia's Room" on the echo dot in Amelia's Room has been producing the error "I couldn't find a device called Amelia's Room".
As far as I can tell, the smart switches are connecting and working just fine. Using the Alexa app to press the "off" button for the group turns everything off. What's even more bizarre, giving the same command to any of the echo devices in the rest of the house successfully turns off the switches. I've burrowed into the app's Alexa Privacy > Voice history, and the app successfully reports a correct transcription of the command from the device Amelia's echo. In the app it shows the error message that the device gave me. The next entry in the app is me giving the same command to a different device, with an identical transcription, and it working.
I've turned the echo off and turned it back on again, but I'm at a loss for how to go about troubleshooting this. Thoughts?
