I agree to a point, yes if someone is casing your house, the ring will give it away but if you have smart lights going on and off they will probably never come close enough to look in a window, but the part about the lightshow made me laugh, if I'm home I don't need Alexa to let me know when glass breaks, at the first crack I'm firing three rounds towards the window just to be safe, my point is that it's designed to guard the house when you're not home, so you will never see the light if used correctly. BTW do you have smart lights because I can't seem to get guard

You can update your Alexa Guard preferences from the home screen of the Alexa app.
Go to the main menu, select Settings, then Guard.
Select the Gear icon at the top right of the screen. Preferences include: selecting Echo devices, receiving Smart Alerts, adding or removing smart lights for Away Lighting, and linking or delinking your home security system.
