I have a new amazon smart plug but cannot connect it to my Wi-fi. Everytime it tries to connect it says ‘Provisioning Failure (3:16:0:1). Unable to join network, please try again.
I have reset plug, deleted Alexa app and reinstalled but nothing seems to work. Anyone have any advice on how to connect it please?
Hi ZcC --
Welcome to the Amazon Digital and Device Forum!
This happens when we detected Wi-Fi in the scan list, then tried to connect to it, but were not able to connect to it because the Wi-Fi is no longer available (i.e. the Wi-Fi went down, or signal was low and we failed to detect it again when we tried to scan it before we connect to it). This could also happen when you manually add a Wi-Fi which does not exists.
1. Verify you are using a 2.4GHz network. It should not be 5 Ghz.
2. If you are manually entering the Network, make sure the credentials are valid.
