Is anyone else having problems controlling their WEMO dimmer switches with the Alexa app or the Echo? They work in the WEMO app, but I cannot get Alexa or Echo to control them. It was working fine this morning, but something happened.
Yes, about 24 hours now. Appears to be an interface type issue between Amazon network and the local device. I updated firmware and restarted devices but like you said the wemo app works perfect. Hoping they fix it soon!
Same for me. Installed a Wemo dimmer yesterday, and funtionality with my Echo was intermittent but did work. Now all I get from Alexa is “Belkin Wemo isn’t responding” even though I can control it with the Wemo app. My other wemo devices seem to be working fine with my Echo.
Having same problem. Worked fine for 6 months (with a few intermittent outages), then nothing.
all other wemo plugs work in and out of groups and dimmer is fine in wemo app.
has anyone found a solution?
which wemo plugs are you having problems with? are you able to use them through the wemo app? do they have the latest updates? did you try pulling the plugs from the outlet wait a few seconds then try again. finally did you try a power cycle on your router? pull the plug for a few seconds then plug back in?
Same problem.....My regular Wemo switch and Wemo Insight devices show up automatically within the Alexa devices list and work normally with Alexa, but the dimmers do not. Cannot enable the Wemo skill at all either. Manual entry of WiFI and Mac Address doesn't work either. Feels like the skill itself is broken and needs updating...
