Hello Forum people, My name is Zach and I am a Moderator for Amazon. I enjoy Film Making, Graphic Design and Web Design in my free time (Different than Kindle Freetime of course). I am also an avid adventurer, looking forward to my next outing!
I was having the same problem then manually registered each of 5 bulbs in my home, and it took. Now when I want to turn on the bulbs, they are in ceiling fans with a remote for the fans, they do not respond to Echo Plus. Any ideas why? Is it due to the Remote?
I'm not sure if my Echo Plus issue is unique to me or not, but I though I'd post just in case it might help someone else.
When my pre-ordered Echo Plus and Hue white bulb arrived, I had no issue setting up the Echo Plus and discovering the bulb. I was delighted and ordered two more Hue white bulbs. That's when the trouble began. The Echo Plus would not discover the additional bulbs. After many bulb and Echo Plus resets, and out of desperation, I unplugged the other 6 Echo units that I have (2 Echo gen1, 3 Echo gen 2, 1 Echo Show). I then again reset the Hue bulbs from within the Alexa app and the two additional Hue bulbs were discovered with no problem. I plugged the other 6 Echo units in and everything works perfectly. I'm a happy camper once again.. Also, I do not have a Hue bridge.
We're sorry to hear you are having trouble connecting your Hue lights to Amazon Echo Plus. Here are the steps to connecting the Lights:
It's unfortunate that Amazon "staff" can only find and quote existing instructions for general canned responses, and not have any real actual hands on experience with the topic at hand - like going over and getting an Echo Plus along with some Hue Bulbs - and just see how it all works - or doesn't -
