If I purchase an Echo plus, will I still need to use the KASA App with my TP Link devices?

It looks like you are safe with your TP-Link hardware being supported by the Echo Plus though.
I do think it would be a good idea for Amazon to post a lot more detail on the Echo Plus hub functionality... because I don't know about other people but I keep buying new automation stuff.
The KASA app is for the actual setup and control of the TP-Link devices.
The Echo family merely sends the commands back to TP-LINK, which in turn send them to your devices...
The "hub" version is for those device worlds that require a local hardware control point - which TP-Link devices do not need... else they would also have a hardware "hub".
