I used One-Click to order a Kindle book, and this was confirmed via email.
However, it never got downloaded when I turned on my Kindle. I tried all
the Help functions, but they don't, not even Contact us. There seems to be
no SEND button.
How can I find out what happened to my order?
You used the 'Contact Us' option to reach Customer Service (Chat or Phone?) and were told they couldn't help you? There is no 'Send' button. This forum is associated with amazon.com, so, assuming that is the Amazon market on which you made the Kindle book purchase, first verify the order is not pending. On the website go to Your Orders > Digital Orders (also check Open Orders) and confirm order is complete. If not, is there an error message? If complete, on website go to:
Accounts & Lists > Your Content & Devices > Content
Locate the book and use the 'Deliver' option under Actions (...) to send the title to the desired device. If the device is grayed out, it's not compatible (the book is not formatted for that device) and it will have to be delivered to a different (and compatible) device and/or app. If you see the book but don't see the desired device listed at all, the book purchase and device are registered to different Amazon accounts.
Amazon tells me I have bought it. When I look it up as a recent purchase, I get
You already own this item. Read anytime on your Kindle apps and devices.
So presumably it should have downloaded. But it has not. As I wreite, I tried the
Contact us page, but after choosing a few general things, there is no way I can
send it off, so there is no contact possible. You say there is a chat option - I'll
try to find that.
Is your Kindle connected to a wireless network so the book can download? If so and the book still isn't downloading, try restarting both the Kindle and your wifi router.
Edit: https://amazon.com/contact-us should get you to customer support. If it's not working, you might try using a different browser. Also, which Kindle do you have? On the current/recent models, you can go to Settings > Contact Us on the device itself.
NOTE: I do NOT speak for or represent Amazon in any fashion. This is a customer to customer forum.
