Hi I have the latest model kindle paperwhite. It has frozen on the "tree screen". I have tried restarting it by holding the power button for 40 seconds but this isn't doing anything. When it is plugged in to charge the light isn't coming on. Can you please advise how I can get it working again?
if the light isn't coming on, then your battery is totally depleted and your charging cord isn't working. Try a different cable/cod to charge it and/or try a different port if you're charging from a computer or a different wall socket if you're plugged into a wall socket. And leave it plugged in for at least 2 hours for a wall plug and 4 hours for a usb port before trying anything else. The 40 second restart will not do anything unless you have enough battery power to do a reboot.
It was 80% charged on Monday night and the tree screen appeared on Tuesday morning. I've tried charging using different cables but the charge light is not coming on and 40 second reset not working. It has not been dropped not damaged.
