I had purchased 2 e books in 2014, on of which has been in my closet since. My original one is acting sluggish so I tried to register my other book. I was able to select language and connect to my wifi. but when connecting to an existing Amazon account it says an error has occurred, making my book useless. I did online support and they tried to sell me a cleaner for several hundred dollars when the book cost 129.00. Any ideas on a fix?
Make sure you download the correct update file(s) for your specific Kindle model and generation. Use the Identify Your Device menu at the top of this forum to help you determine which Kindle you have. Also, if more than one update is needed, transfer and run only one at a time.
