My Kindle automatically started a software update and has been frozen in the updating process for two days. No trouble shooting has worked. Has anyone experienced something similar?
did you try holding the power button in for a full 30 seconds (ignore any messages that come up)?
if so and that didn't work, you need to talk to Customer Service and see what options are available:

Oh I tried the hard restart. 15 seconds, 40 seconds, two minutes. Nothing:(

ETA: also did you try taking it out of the cover /case and doing the reset (it has to have enough chage to do i=this, so charge for a few hours before trying it
