Hi, I read a lot but it happens that I don't touch my ereader for months (preferring to read on paper books). And every time I do that the screen of my ereader shows severe ghosting and never turns as it was before, forcing me to refresh the screen every page... Is it normal for eink technology? It happened with both my kindle and kobo. but it depends coz with this technology ghosting dont happen much so there no worry about it either.
A certain amount of image ghosting is inherent with E Ink technology. The software for Kindle e-readers is intended to minimise ghosting and maximise the speed of page turns.
For Kindle devices, you can turn on Page Refresh to minimize ghosting on your Kindle. From the Home screen, tap Menu then Settings. If you have a Next Page button on your Kindle, press it then navigate to Page Refresh. If you don't have a Next Page button, tap Reading Options, then Page Refresh to toggle this feature on.
