I am on my 7th Kindle, and I have mostly had no problems. But after buying my 5th in January, I have had to call to get last TWO replaced. As I explained to the CS rep, and then his supervisor, AMZ sent me a msg about problems with the charging cord (the port on the Kindle won't fit the charger head), and sent me a new one. Neither the 5th or 6th Kindle would hold a charge for more than about 50 minutes. CS told me that I would have to send the Kindle in, and then they would check the battery, and possibly send it back w/in 2 or 3 days. I was appalled! This is THEIR device, and I use my Kindle every day. When I get the Supervisor involved, she agreed to send me another one, and told me to ship the defective one back. She was not pleasant at all. I tried to explain the issue with the port and the cord, and she shut me down. Obviously, after this many Kindles, she should be able to identify a good customer? Very disappointed.
