I have recently upgraded to the newest Kindle Paperwhite. My old Paperwhite (7th Generation) would automatically power on when you opened the cover so that all you needed to do was to swipe to start reading. I thought the dimensions of both products were the same, so I am actually using the same case as my 7th generation (link at the bottom). But I'm finding that it doesn't automatically wake when I open the case. Is it an issue of the case or a setting in the Paperwhite I haven't discovered? I was hoping not to have to try to find a new case with a stand for this new Kindle because I really like this case.
it's the case - the 1st 3 versions of the paperwhite could use the same case, but it's different for the newest version
6.7"x 4.6” x 0.36” (169 mm x 117 mm x 9.1 mm). for the older models
6.6” x 4.6” x 0.3” ( 167 x 116 x 8.18 mm) for the latest model (waterproof one)
which means that the magnet used to open the older models is not in the correct spot for the new models. Being that the title for your case is: igadgitz Black PU 'Bi-View' Leather Case Cover for Amazon Kindle Paperwhite 2015 2014 2013 2012 with Sleep/Wake Function & Integrated Hand Strap. The newest paperwhite is either a 2018 or 2019 model (I can't remember precisely when it came out)
