I've had a NY Times Kindle subscription for years, and the daily issue has always automatically downloaded to my Kindle in the morning when I turned off airplane mode. For several days now, however, the issues have been showing up in my cloud account, but not downloading to the Kindle. I'm able to download them manually, but would like to go back to having them download automatically.
I have the newest Kindle Paperwhite, and have done the most recent software update. My subscription page correctly shows this Kindle as the current default for The NY Times. This problem occurs whether I'm on Wi-Fi or LTE/3G.
I'm wondering if anyone else is having this issue or knows how to fix this. I'll be calling Amazon customer service this week, but sometimes I get switched around and/or the calls take a long time, so I thought I'd try here first.
As you have performed the above troubleshooting, I recommend contacting our Kindle team using the following link, so that they can take a look for any underlying issues with your account that are preventing you from automatically receiving your issues:
Thanks for your comments, Alexander. I was planning to contact customer service yesterday, but then on Sunday, The NY Times started downloading automatically again. It's been okay for 3 days now, and the issue seems to be fixed. I have no idea what caused the problem or what resolved it, but right now all is well. I appreciate that you took the time to respond to my question.
