Computers and marketing weasels don't count the same way as well. Computers use powers of 2 so they see a gigabyte as 1024 megabytes. Marketers use decimal as it makes the storage look bigger. A marketing gigabyte is 2.4% smaller than a real one so it looks like you get more of them.
