I sent a PDF to my Kindle email address and it converted it beautifully for my Kindle paperwhite. However, it does not show in my Kindle library on Amazon, nor on my Fire Tablet(s) Kindle app, nor on my Windows PC Kindle app. I would like it in my library so highlights and annotations are available across all my reading options (and I do use them all). Is there any way to do this?
If you use the Send to Kindle app for the pc, you'll have the option of having it stored on your account. But highlights won't sync on personal documents. I don't believe it will show up for the PC Kindle app either.
Kindle for PC ,Kindle for Mac and the Kindle Cloud Reader, officially only support books purchased from Amazon. There are ways of getting them to open Docs and maybe someone will spell it out for you (I've never done it)
PDF's sent by attaching the file to email and sending to my Kindle email address do show up in the PC Reader, but not the converted PDF--->Kindle, which do show up in the Fire Reader. Well, at least that's helpful.
