I have a new Thinkpad which had the App preinstalled. It would not work. Uninstalled it and reinstalled an app from Amazon site. Now as soon as I select a book to read, I get an error message from Microsoft stating it found a problem with Kindle and is shutting the app down.
Uninstalled the app and reinstalled a couple of times, still the same problem.
There may be a compatibility issue depending on which model Thinkpad you have and the operating system. The Kindle for PC app can be used on any computer running Windows 7, Windows 8 or 8.1, or Windows 10 in Desktop Mode. If you are running one of those operating systems, Go to Kindle for PC to download the latest version.
