My kindle's screen is frozen. I've tried to restart it, but even holding the power button for the 40 seconds on the Amazon help page hasn't worked. It also has trouble keeping a charge, as I have to recharge every day instead of every week. It has had heavy use since December of 2014. What should I do?
Try rebooting it again following these instructions. If that doesn't resolve your issue, contact customer support. . TO REBOOT YOUR KINDLE: For 2nd Generation, Keyboard Kindle, Basic Kindle, Kindle Touch, Paperwhite, Voyage, Oasis and Kindle DX: Make sure it has at least a 50% charge. Unplug the Kindle. Slide the power switch over (or press the power button) for a full 30 seconds (count them). PUT IT DOWN AND DON'T TOUCH IT. It may take a few minutes to reboot. Your books and Collections will repopulate. . TO CONTACT KINDLE CUSTOMER SERVICE: Click on the "Help" link at the bottom of this webpage. Scroll down, click on "Need more help?", then click on "Contact Us". I recommend you use the PHONE or CHAT options. Do *NOT* use e-Mail. CALL ME under the PHONE tab is great if available. They will call you within minutes. . OR . https://www.amazon.com/contact-us
