Has anyone tried using no-rush shipping credits for the purchase of digital devices? Customer service told me that the digital no-rush shipping credits could be applied to the purchase of Kindle devices, but when I add to cart and go to checkout, the credit amount is not applied. Am I doing something wrong or was I given misinformation about being able to use these credits this way?
The digital no-rush shipping credits are for eligible digital content, not for devices. There are also no-rush credits for Prime Pantry items, and perhaps for other things. During checkout, click the 'Details' link next to the credit selection to see what it can be used for. You also receive an email with information whenever a credit is added to your account.
If you check this link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/?docId=1000811661#gc and then click to "Check Your Balance", you can see your gift-balance as well as promotional balances for other areas. The totals for the 4 areas are NOT cumulative. The totals seen for the 4 other areas are really only one total.
The No-Rush Digital Promotional Credits do not show for Kindle editions but they work there. That little bug is useful to tell what is "general promotional" and what is "digital promotional".
Yes, it says MP3 but it's used for all the balances and is very useful!
