Every time I click on a book in library, it downloads and application then crashes. I have to close/re-open to get any response (endless spinning cursor when hovering over window).

I'd suggest you use the Chat or Call Me option.Do NOT use email.
Standard line from the CSR will be to deregister the device, then uninstall the program, then reinstall.
Warning, deregistering the device will LOOSE all your downloaded books on the device. The Amazon CSR will not warn you about this. But if the app won't open any book, you don't have much to loose.
