I purchased a TV cube in the deals. Set up was as normal and can access all the amazon TV stuff as wanted. However, the alexa part seems to be having issues. Its not connected to our smart system (lights and plugs) and struggles to understand commands which we have had no problem with using the normal dot and fire stick separately. We purchased the cube because it meant it freed up the devices for other parts of the house whilst meaning the main tv is now all in one.
Any suggestions on how to get this problem solved before I contact amazon to swap for firestick and dot separate.
Doreen, in another thread, indicated that there is no central source for voice commands: however, she provided a list of the commands she uses in this thread https://www.amazonforum.com/forums/devices/fire-tv/527048-cant-figure-alexa-voice-commands-for-netflix-on I have found that the Cube appears to be faster than the 4K Fire stick so I would keep it until just before the end of the warrantee period to see if you can figure out the commands you need. If you can not get it to work the way you would like at that time return the device.
I have three FireTV cubes but my living room only blinks a yellow white stripe which normally means it has a connection issue to the router but the device is fully functional via remote to include the TV and sound system and streams in 4K but the device will not take verbal commands. I have rebooted it several times now without resolving the issue.

to resolve this ask Alexa what my alerts.
