My Recast is having some issues. I have a support ticket opened but I just wanted to crowd source to see if anyone else is having these problems. One issue is that I can’t schedule future recordings in the guide. They all fail. I can watch and record live tv but that is all. I was told others were having this issue so it would be escalated. Also, my software version for the Recast is the same as my fire stick 4k but has the word “user” after it. Is this what others see? I don’t remember seeing this before. Thanks for any input from anyone.
EDIT: One additional note: all previously set/scheduled recordings are continuing to record pretty much as normal.
Just checked here. I was surprised to see the timeline above my channel guide was 2 hours off. I checked and found an update waiting to be installed. After doing that and restarting everything seemed OK. I also have "user" after the version number on the Recast. Never noticed it before, but never paid any attention either.
Thanks. I found the update as well but it did nothing to fix my issue. The problem remains. My guide was not off by two hours though. I was hoping maybe that might be the cause but it was correct. This is so odd. I keep getting the message “Recording not scheduled.” “Recording of xxxxxxx failed.” “Please try again.”
Thanks winrose. I've had mine for quite a while now as well. I don't have any explanation or can think of any change that would break this feature. I'm still waiting on an answer from Amazon but it sure seems it would be a change on their end.
