My new fire stick 4K will only play about the first 4 seconds of anything we try to watch (with no sound) and then just stops, like it’s paused but won’t unpause. It is this way with all apps we’ve tried.
Anyone have a remedy?

Hey ansr, Sorry to hear you are having trouble playing content on your Fire TV. Have you tried restarting the device by unplugging it for 40 seconds and plugging it back in? Additionally, what app are you having trouble trouble with?
Thanks, and welcome to the Amazon forums!

Same freaking issue. Brought brand new fire tv out and tried that. It worked one day. Now it wont!!! I unplugged it and restarted it. It starts up but it is stuck on the home page. Changed the batteries in the remote and it still wont work!!@! Freaking junk!
Hey man. A couple of my friends helped me out. First, go into the display settings and change it from auto to either 1080 or 720. Then, go into the audio settings and change it from dolby/surround to stereo. I'm now up and running.

Did you see my other post? Go into your display settings and change it from "auto" to either 1080 or 720, then go into your audio settings and change it frmo "dolby" to "stereo". Unfortunate that my friends are smarter than amazon support, but this did resolve my issue.

I am having the exact same issue, everything you described verbatim. I have restarted, unplugged, no help.
Thanks Zach. I have tried that to no avail. It does the same thing with every app

This seems to have worked.
Thanks much JDRcity.
