I have just purchased an Insignia Fire TV Edition (2018) television. Will a software update be made available to the Insignia that will allow it to set up an Alexa Home Theater System?
Hi. I am running 2 echo dots and a firetv stick 4k in home theater mode. Ever since setting it up, the sound randomly stops playing anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes. I read that i should turn off dolby digital plus in the settings but its greyed out when in home theater mode. Any suggestions?
I have some difficulty if I turn off my TV and I'm still on a program either playing or paused. Usually locked up my device. I found if I hit the HOME button first before I shut off my TV I don't get this lock up. I'm not sure if this is what your after. Are you trying to just listen to the video and turn off the TV? If so I'm guessing that the "home theater group" requires a signal input from the TV to keep playing. Other wise I think you could stream music over it. Maybe try pandora or spotify on the TV and then turn it off. Hope I helped.

If I set this up as a home theater can I also put these speakers in the "everywhere group" to stream audio?
