My Firestick Gen I works perfectly connected to my Samsung Smart TV HDMI port, but when I swap it out with the my new Gen II, the screen goes blank... any ideas why?
Sorry to hear that you've been having issues with your Fire TV Stick. You can try to restart the device by disconnecting the power cord for 3 seconds and then plugging it back in. Alternatively, press and hold the Select and Play/Pause buttons on the included remote at the same time for about 5 seconds. Make sure that you're using the power adapter that came with the device, and that the adapter is plugged into the Fire TV Stick (and not the TV). You can also make sure that Fire TV Stick is NOT connected to your TV through an HDMI hub, switch, or splitter that doesn't have its own power source. Unpowered hubs and switches can affect the power supply for your Fire TV Stick. If possible, try an alternate HDMI connection for your device. Also, welcome to the forum!
