I have done a lot of searching online and haven't come across an answer to my question. I have a Fire TV Stick 4k from which I purchased Showtime as a subscription through Amazon. I did this by first downloading the Showtime app and then signing up. I like the app because it shows me programs specific to Showtime. I also have a second Fire Stick, which recognizes the subscription. By that I mean I can do a search of a particular Showtime program, and the Fire Stick allows me to watch it. However, I want to use the Showtime app so I can get a listing of what content is available on Showtime. When I download the Showtime app on this second Firestick, it asks for a username/password for an existing user or to sign up to get a 7 day trial subscription. My Amazon username/password does not work to sign in as an existing user. I don't believe I ever created a Showtime username/password. I've tried all sort of things but for I have no idea how to use the Showtime app on this second Fire Stick. Any ideas?

Directly through Amazon I can watch Showtime programs through all of my devices, which I would expect. (In other words, the devices recognize my Amazon subscription.) On my first Fire Stick 4k, I can watch Showtime movies either directly through Amazon or through the Showtime app, which is how I signed up for Showtime. On the second Fire Stick, the Showtime app doesn't recognize my Amazon username/password. My strong suspicion is that this scenerio of downloading the Showtime app on two separate Amazon devices wasn't considered. I guess I'm looking for confirmation as it seems odd I'm the only one who has seen this. People might be just using Amazon directly to watch Showtime, but again I like the idea of seeing what the offerings are on Showtime using their app.
You could be right, which I hope you're not because this would be embarrassing. I signed up back in early July, so I could have forgotten, but I don't think I signed in with a username/password because I always use the same username/email, and Showtime isn't recognizing my e-mail to send a new password. Please correct me though as I'm humble enough to realize I could be making a mistake!
I do not utilize the showtime app (or its content); however, for other apps I have down loaded on my 6 firesticks at one time or another, each app that required a log in and purchase, I had to use a specific userid and password unique to that app. A couple of apps have some issues such as Hulu which requires a location and it will only permit 4 changes of address and others such as NBC sports permits use of the app in two separate physical locations simultaneously and does not care if a third is added such as a hotel room with same stick being used in three geographical locations. tI just depends upon how they code the app and Amazon (other than providing the Application Program Interface - API) has nothing to say about how the app behaves for the user. One app, FoxNews is continually asking me to reauthorize and sign back in (twice a month or so.)
