I used to use Amazon Photos in Fire stick for screensaver. However since around June 2019, it suddenly disappeared after latest software update.
I can see Amazon Photos in App settings (i.e. allow other devices to connect with PIN, etc), but under the display settings and screensaver, I can not see Amazon Photos.
Also, I can not see Photos app under homescreen apps.
What has changed? Please help!
Hello BryanB76, Welcome to Amazon Digital and Device Forum!
I'm sorry about the trouble you're having with Amazon Photos.
The Amazon Photos app is preinstalled on your Fire TV device. You can launch the app from Your Apps & Channels on the Home screen.
Restart your device and make sure the software update was successfully installed.
To set a personal collection from Amazon Photos as the Fire TV screen saver:
Open an album or collection, select Options, and then select Set As Screen Saver.
Choose screen saver settings (e.g. slide style, slide speed, start time, and shuffle) while previewing the screen saver. If you use the Amazon Collection as your screensaver, you can choose Display Info to show information about the pictures in the slideshow.
The screen saver will automatically launch when the Fire TV is left idle.
You can also manage screen saver preferences from Settings (Settings > Display & Sounds > Screen Saver).
Also check the "Access Amazon Photos" settings. When you set Access Amazon Photos to "disabled," data from Amazon Photos is not downloaded to your Fire TV device, and your photos and videos won't show when you open the Amazon Photos app.
To manage this setting:
Select Settings > Applications > Amazon Photos from the Fire TV menu.
Select the Access Amazon Photos option.
Select Disable Amazon Photos or Enable Amazon Photos and confirm.
