Hi, Tracy.G and welcome to the forums!
I'm sorry you're experiencing this issue with your FireTV device.
If you are still experiencing the error "Home Currently Unavailable" on your Fire TV device, please try these following steps to resolve your issue:
1. Unplug the Fire TV Stick from power, wait 10 seconds, and then plug it back in. 2. Unplug the Fire TV Stick from the TV and then plug it back in. 3. If you are using the HDMI extender, plug the Fire TV Stick directly into the TV.
4. Restart Internet Modem/Router
If these steps do not resolve the issue, please let us know.
I have been having the same issue for about one week and it is happening to both of my Fire TV Stick devices. Originally the message read "Home is Currently Unavailable. We are unable to connect to our servers. Please try again later." I completed the steps listed above and now the message reads "Home is Currently Unavailable. We are unable to connect to Amazon services. Please check you Internet connection or try again later." I have checked my interned connection and have "Excellent" signal strength.
I'm currently having this exact same issue on my Firestick 4K! My firestick 2nd gen is doing just fine. It's annoying to turn on your TV and have to unplug the device EVERY single time just to get it to work. The roku is looking very tempting right now
"I have checked my interned connection and have "Excellent" signal strength." Unfortunately from network settings I have seen "very good", "good" , "fair" and "poor". Please verify your "excellent" network signal. Usually I have seen this when I have been using my 10 year old Dlink 655 wifi router. When I added a dlink 5400 router those issues went away. My FIOS connection assures me that the signal will be "very good"; however, our summer house only has Frontier copper and using Frontier's 3 year old router and the copper connection I still have been able to get two 4K sticks as well as two laptop internet connections to work. If you have a recent router, try changing its position or the position of its antennas.
If, after trying the troubleshooting steps I listed above, you're still experiencing this issue please contact our customer service team so they can provide additional troubleshooting with you in real-time.
