We recently purchased the Fire TV stick for use in our office as a central information display, but it is impossible to turn off sleep mode. The display shuts down in around 20 minutes and screensaver is off. Can't find the settings to keep it going the entire day with a weather app for example, due there is nothing in the menu settings to disable the sleep mode, why?.
Any way to do it easily?. It is a setting that has to be in the menu settings by default.
We also recently purchased the following Toshiba/Kindle Fire TV. We're having the same problem with it going into sleep mode after only a brief time, even if we set the sleep mode to maximum, it still times out after about 20 minutes.
Since we're using this TV as a digital bulletin board, we really need it to remain awake and engaged. I know that I've seen an Android app called Wake Stop, but we evidently can't download it as an app for our TV. My research has also revealed that there's a way to adjust the programing of the TV workings itself, but it sounds way too complex and dicey for us to attempt.
When will Amazon/Toshiba have a fix for this? Surely it would only be a matter of allowing the user to choose for the sleep mode either to be ON or OFF. The sooner this is addressed, the better. Thanks!

This is a customer forum. Contact Amazon directly to request regular updates. And good luck with *that* as they don't generally discuss what's coming in future updates with people. :)
But, I do have to ask: What makes you think they plan to work on this right now? I'd imagine they have development plans mapped out years in advance and might not instantly jump to add in a suggestion someone made just because that person thought it might be handy.
This stuff is consumer grade. I'd have to opine that making them suitable for your business needs isn't on their horizon as such.
With respect, it is always better to buy products that do what you want them to do from the start rather than buy stuff that doesn't and then sit, waiting, for updates that may never be done.
NOTE: I do NOT speak for or represent Amazon in any fashion. This is a customer to customer forum.
