I recently purchased a Toshiba Fire TV edition television. With my previous TV, I would use my DirecTV remote to power on the television and cable box simultaneously and to start watching. With this new TV it seems like it requires using two remote controls to start watching my satellite feed. Is there a way for the TV to start up viewing HDMI Input #1?
Mackzilla, Many, many thanks!!! My mom has macular degeneration, so she's partially blind--no central vision, only indistinct peripheral vision is left. This makes things like finding and distinguishing icons difficult. The TV was near-useless for her unless someone was there to help. Your post has saved her no end of frustration. Again, many thanks!
I do not have the Power On option to even select when I go to Display & Sound settings. Still can't get the default to stop going to home page when powering up tv. Have to use 2 remotes to get to DirecTV due to this!
Until a few days ago my TV would power up to HDMI 1 (my cable box) according to my POWER ON setting which is LAST INPUT. But it doesn't work anymore. Btw my only two options are HOME and LAST INPUT. Something has changed! Please advise.
Same thing here. It’s been going for over two to three weeks. It appears to have happened after an update. Restarted, restored to default settings and made the HDMI the power on option but nothing. This Tv is really getting annoying.
