My amazon fire stick won't let me resize my screen using "Calibrate Your Display". I can see the left and bottom grey arrows but using up/down does not seem to work at all.
Any suggestions?
I have tried on three different TVs (different sizes/models) with no luck - having the same issue on each one.
If part of your video display is missing or cut off at the edges of your screen, your TV may be automatically scaling your picture.
You can use the Calibrate Display tool (Settings > Display & Sounds > Display > Calibrate Display) to adjust for this scaling.
The tool has four gray arrows pointing to the edges of your screen. Use the arrows as a guide when making your adjustments. Press the Up and Down keys on your Fire TV remote until the gray arrows touch the edges of your screen and are completely visible.
For Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote and Fire TV Stick Basic Edition
You can make adjustments by opening the Picture or Display menu for your connected TV. Select the most relevant setting from the options available on your TV.
Follow the on-screen instructions to make adjustments with your TV remote. You should still see the gray arrows from the Calibrate Display tool. Make sure that the tips of the arrows touch the edges of your screen and are completely visible.

Oddly enough, our TV started having the same problems the same day as yours--and we didn't "adjust" any Settings! The grey arrows on the Calibrate Display screen did not work. Sound familiar? And thanks to you and this forum, I went Under Accessibility under the Settings header and turned "OFF" the Screen Magnifier that was somehow suddenly on. Problem instantly solved, although I sure spent enough time fooling around with settings on the TV and going in and out of the Fire Stick menu! It was horribly frustrating only being able to see the bottom left quarter of the screen! Perhaps a software update through our Fire Sticks that caused this sudden development?

Solution to Amazon's inadequate tech support - stop buying their products...
“Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.” ~ Not the Buddha
The second generation firestick doesn't let you adjust the display size to fit your TV screen (it let's you see how far off it is, but won't let you adjust it from the firestick). The only solution is to zoom out on your TV settings (but then all the other input sources will be too small).
Don't know why Amazon took this feature off the 2nd gen firestick - all the other fire TV devices have it.
They need to fix this and give me back control of the the scaling my TV is not zoomed in the aspect ratio is at normal and there is no way to fine tune it normally I would just fix things like that in the device but they removed the function.

It is corrected with the TV Remote as instructed in the on-screen Calibrate Display.
Every TV Manufacture/Remote has its own particular way of doing this. You have to play around with it.
The older Panasonic Plasma will not get that final tip showing, as my brother and sister both have them, but it does not effect playback or anything else.
Also, as mentioned, check the Screen Magnifier under Accessibility in Settings.
Just want to add that while TV's might have the ability to zoom, the firestick problem is the firestick not the TV. I moved my firestick to three different TV's and the problem moves with the stick. I am not going to readjust each tv to the firestick just to readjust it when I am not using it. My calibrate display used to work. Now its locked, one of the recent updates disabled it. Come on Amazon this needs to be put back with the next update.

The second generation firestick never allowed the display size to be altered but every other fire TV device does. Some TVs allow you to zoom the display in or out but I've never had one that had that adjustment.
Calibrate is fine on all my FireTV Devices. Nothing wrong with the FireTV Device.
If your lucky, some TV's just use the Up and Down button, but the majority are corrected with the TV Remote, not the FireTV Remote.
From your TV Remote, its usually something like aspect ratio, picture mode, etc.. etc...
On all my TV's, it retains my HDMI port settings for that HDMI port with the FireTv Device, (only have to do it once), without changing any other HDMI port settings, or the TV settings ... using many brands.
So it's 2019 now and the 2nd Gen Firestick has not been updated to fix this! It even works on the the 1st Gen. Someone failed miserably and continues to do so with their job. People don't want to go through every TV these are hooked to and read separate instructions. The simple answer to this question is Amazon does not care about fixing it and there is no resolution unless you have plenty of time to read about each TV you hook it to and are lucky enough to have a TV that calibrates itself which in my case does not happen. Hundreds of thousands of these were sold with this error and Amazon does not resolve it.
Thank you for this information cause I seriously was about to go nuts if I couldn’t unmagnify my fire Stick.. I only been fumbling with it for about 39 minutes before I googled the problem.
I don't know who this sac rider OneAcer__ is, but he sounds like an amazon drone. The issue IS with the 2nd Gen firestick. I have a 2nd fire box, and it allows you to adjust the calibration of the display. The 2nd Gen firestick does NOT and it should bc it DOES NOT FIT MY TV. And it is not the TV's problem, as I have literally hooked up the firebox, xbox, dvd, chromecast, cable box, antenna, etc etc to this SAME TV and have had NO ISSUES with any of their displays that couldn't be corrected by the correlated device. The setting is available on all these other devices, IT NEEDS TO BE ON THIS ONE. Theres no reason for it not to be on it! This is ridiculous that I have to use a 3rd party app like kodi to make it work properly...
Hey guys, going through same crap but here's a workaround:
In my old AOC TV there's an option called 'HDMI/DVI Switch' which was set to AutoI changed it DVI and voila the display became perfect, no cropping at all.
BUT..since DVI can't send audio signal there was no output from TV, though the Bluetooth audio works fine.
So technically display got fixed but audio disaapeared...not the best solution but might work for people with wireless soundbars.
Also, this issue is mainly with Televisions..on monitors there's no issue. My 32" LG monitor gives no issue.

Thanks CatChat, but as I mentioned in my post, the calibrate your display doesn't work.
Here was the issue. Turning off Screen Magnifier in the Accessiblity menu did the trick
Screen Magnifier
To zoom in onscreen, you can enable Screen Magnifier from Settings > Accessibility.
Hold Back + Fast Forward to enable or disable Screen Magnifier from any screen. Press Menu + Fast Forward to zoom in or Menu + Rewind to zoom out.
Press Menu + Up, Down, Left, or Right to pan in these directions.
Press Menu + Play/Pause to quickly enable or disable zoom.
Note: Most video content will not zoom.

This should work if you have kodi

Use method 3
