I seem to be receiving an error when trying to use my FireTV stick. It worked for about 2 months without issue and even last night.
This morning attempting to watch some prime video results in an error "PLR_PRS_CALL_FAILED" with no additional information.
I have checked my internet connection, using other apps, as well has done the typical Amazon Video debug steps such as
Force Stop App
Clear Data (x2)
This has not corrected the issue.
I checked for device updates and even hard reset the device by removing power.
What is this error, and what can I do to resolve it?

I just signed in and received the exact same error message! I have restarted my internet modem, unplugged the Fire Stick, double checked that everything is connected and am still receiving this code. Nothing comes up online for help with this.
I am having the exact same issue this morning and getting the identical error code. I too have tried to Force Stop the Amazon video app, clear date, and clear cache as well as disconnecting power and rebooting everything (including my router) but still can't access anything on Amazon video through either of my (2) Fire TV sticks. I can access through a laptop, but not the Fire Sticks.
Seeing as we're both having the same issue at the same time, my hope is that it is something on Amazon's side and it will resolve itself??
It looks like everyone is having this problem at the same time. I also have the same
message, have followed all the prompts to manage the app. clear all data, restart etc. I use comcast as a provider and it also is not allowing me to authorize NBC sports via comcast. so something is going on with Amazon. Anyone at Amazon listening?
I'm having the same issue with my fire tablet. I can connect to video fine on my phone, but not my tablet. I've factory reset, restarted, and it hasn't made a difference. I'm with Time Warner for internet in NC.
I am getting the exact same message on my Kindle Fire HD 8 (6th Genertation). I've done everything that you did (which is what was suggested through the help) and it still isn't working. Does anyone have an answer for this? Super frustrating.
I'm having the same issue on my firestick. Prime videos are working fine on my xbox one. I've restarted my firestick disconnected it from Internet and reconnected and still not working. I'm in Savannah, GA
I dug around the Amazon site and finally found something akin to a customer service number. When I clicked on that link, there is a banner at the top of the page announcing
:Some customers are unable to stream amazon instant video on Fire TV right now. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Our technical team is working on taking care of this issue as soon as possible. Please try again over the next few hours. Thanks for your patience.
