I just got the 4K Firestick and I am it is stuck on the FireTV amazon smile logo with 3 pulsing in the bottom right corner. Remote keys are not responding.
I have the same problem. The stick is brand new and powered it up for the first time and it's stuck on the white screen with the logo. There's no way it can be updating firmware because I haven't even gotten to the screen where you setup the network preferences. It's been stuck on the screen for an hour.
totally frustrating! as many of you wrote, I'm having the same problem with my brand new 4K tv stick.
Just unboxed my Fire TV Stick 4K yesterday. Installed it and all I've got was the Fire logo stuck on the screen...and a chime every 10 seconds. I looked up troubleshooting on line. Tried plugging in the HDMI extender, plugging it into different HDMI ports, connecting it on a different TV, reset the remote, reset the Fire Stick, just couldn't get past the logo screen ever! I contacted Amazon Technical Services and they asked me to de-register the stick, then reboot, and of course that fixed nothing. They offered me a replacement, but I'm no longer in the States so I can't return the defective 4K stick. Since I can't get a replacement I'll have to lose my money.
Looking here and reading so many bad experiences with the 4K stick I feel that there's some hardware/software issue and I'm not even sure if I want to get another one until they make a new hardware revision.

I Have the same issue, I look on internet, nobody knows to solve this issue. Do you have any updates?
I'm sorry to those having this issue with the Fire TV Stick 4K. I've got a few troubleshooting steps for everyone to try!
Unplug your Fire TV Stick 4K from both the power and your TV. Also unplug your TV for 2-3 minutes, then plug everything back in and restart.
Reboot your modem and/or router.
Make sure there are no large metal objects in the vicinity of your Wi-Fi router and Fire TV.
Update your Wi-Fi router's firmware.
Try a different HDMI port on your TV.
Try a different TV.
If your Fire TV is connected to your TV through a receiver or HDMI hub, try connecting directly to the TV.
If none of those steps help, then please reach out directly to our Fire TV team (click here) so they can look at the details of your device and connection.
no, I contacted a few times Amazon support and after the basic troubleshoot of "disconnect, reboot, try another TV or HDMI port" they told me that my Fire Tv 4K is damaged and shall be returned to get a replacement.
I still can't believe a brand-new in box 4K stick comes with no Quality Assurance checks and it's dead on arrival. :(

Hello Kristen,
I've tried all those steps and my Fire TV Stick 4K never gets beyond the "fire tv" logo.
Since new, when I unboxed and connected it, I'm getting the same behavior.
I can not update any firmware or check the WiFi settings because my stick has never booted beyond the logo screen. I can't do anything, I just hear a "chime sound" in the background every 10 seconds and that's all. The fire tv logo is stuck on my TV, and I can't set up the wifi, the remote, or get any kind of feedback from the device.
I've already contacted the Fire TV team and the only answer they provided was to return the device for a replacement. I'm not currently in the USA so I can't get a new device.
Even worse, I'm shocked to see that many users are having the same issue and posting similar messages in this forum.
I think we all victim of scam after we buy and used the product which is 4k, I’m facing the same problem, nothing we can do the device is stuck and that features is built in so we can buy again

Myself, and everyone I know, uses there new 4K Stick just fine. These devices work flawlessly for millions of people.
I believe that outside of the USA, in other countries, there might be restrictions in place. If sold in your country, the information on operation should be stated.
If the device is connected to TV through a receiver or HDMI hub, try connecting directly to TV.
Disable "CEC" on your TV settings (CEC has always different name for different branded televisions. You may need to refer the Manufacturer's User Guide).
I hope this helps fix the issue, however If none of the above troubleshooting steps work please reach out to customer service directly for further assistance. Thanks!

Hello Forum people, My name is Zach and I am a Moderator for Amazon. I enjoy Film Making, Graphic Design and Web Design in my free time (Different than Kindle Freetime of course). I am also an avid adventurer, looking forward to my next outing!
2 of my 5 Firesticks are the 4K. From my experience, the 4K is very sensitive to the power supply. Mine would not work with another (non 4K stick) power supply, the TV USB port, pr even an apple power supply. Mine only work with the power supply provided with the 4K stick. Both of my 4K sticks work very well and I really enjoy the off button, the volume controls to include the mute button. While I do not have a 4K television, all my new stick purchases will be the 4K variety for the reasons enumerated above.
Yes, the 4K has more ram, faster processor, newer WIFI hardware and a much better equipped remote.
Mine work fantastic. I also suggest to people to get the 4K from now on, as well as the siliconized rubber remote cover.
I have only experienced 2 people who had issues with the 4K Stick, and both were to lazy, and used the power supply from an old device. As soon as we used the proper power unit that came with the 4K Stick, and followed the proper install instructions as stated, they were up and running normally.
Your really not to be concerned about 4K, as there is no main stream use of that format at this time, but the enhanced hardware specs are what you want.
I am having the same problem but I don’t have the actually the controller so I have to get a app and it has to connect but I am unable to because the app doesn’t get the signal so I can restart it with the remote what other way is there

Hello hdbsjd and welcome to the forum!
I'm sorry you're having this issue with your Fire TV Stick 4K. Try unplugging the device for a few moments and plugging it back in. Then open the Fire TV app on your mobile device and try to pair again. If the same issues persist, please reach out to our Fire TV Team directly here for live assistance.
Last night while watching netflix, the picture froze but the sound kept playing. Tried using remote to pause, ff, rewind, but it was unresponsive. Finally turned off television, and when I turned it back on, got the dreaded logo screen. Came to the internet to troubleshoot, and found this forum. Tried all solutions I could find, and nothing worked. Even hooked stick (non-4k) up to a different television and got same response. Called customer service. Their response was to offer me a 15% discount on a new fire stick (since mine, at 7 months old, was out of warranty). Since I had a spare Roku device, I decided to just use that and bag their offer. Guess Bozos can't afford to replace my fire stick. On the other hand, I had a Roku express fail after owning it for a year more or less, and they ended up sending me not one, but two free replacements (although the second one was probably sent in error). I switched to the fire stick for the main tv because I was having some issues with the Roku streaming the golf channel, but seems fine now, so I'll take my chances.
Okay so I had my fire stick about a week before this started happening. I found out the problem. This should help you all. I tried everything and nothing worked. I found out, the cable to power the fire stick is bad it's a POS. I had an extra high quality cable that I bought a while back. I powered it with that and it started right up. Before I was stuck on a black screen with the letters FireTV. Please let me know if this helps you.
TLDR Power cables a POS get a better one.

Most people do not set it up correctly, or do not wait for the firmware to update, etc,.. etc....
You always want to use the HDMI extender as instructed, as well as the included power cord with the included power block, into a wall plug.
You also do not put the batteries into the remote until instructed to do so, as per the instructions.
It is easier to just send you another one, and they will resell that one as refurbished probably.

I'd let it run for 20 minutes or so. Updating the Fire TV 4K can take a while.
