I am a little confused. I have a 4k TV and I am thinking on dropping DirecTV. I currently watch Amazon Prime content. What would fire tv add to my experience?
The Amazon Fire TV devices are Streaming devices (for Amazon content, as well as apps for other streaming services, such as Netflix, Hulu, etc).
You don't get any extra content to Prime with a Fire TV device, but you can access your other digital content libraries, such as Amazon Music, Audible, Prime Photos..
See the respective product page for each respective Fire TV device for specific details.
It is not a replacement to cable/internet service, and, without an app/service that offers it, you can't watch live TV, nor have the ability to tune in free networks (ABC, NBC, CBS, etc).
I'm being extremely clever up here and there's no one standing around looking impressed. What's the point in having you all? - Dr Who
Great. Thanks for the reply
You have the ability to load in Apps that some other streaming players cant. Way to many to explain here, just Google it.
