At the very end of October, the "Gospel Library" app crashed on the Kindle Fire and was taken off of the Amazon app store completely. I contacted the developer (The Church of Jesus Christ.) They realized the problem and got the app back on the Amazon app store within days. However, ever since then the "Gospel Library" cannot be successfully shared/added to a "child profile." I have been on the phone for 2+ hours with Amazon. They can't figure out why. They say it's the developer's fault. I've been trying to get the church to respond, but this time all I get is crickets. Is anyone else having this problem? Has anyone figured out a way to make it work?
This is what I have tried: Turning everything on and off. Updating device. Updating app. Deleting all "child profiles" and reinstalling them. Getting rid of all parental controls and trying to add. Resetting the Kindle to factory settings and starting all over. Trying to add the on different Kindle Fire devices. (I have about 20 Kindles.) Absolutely nothing worked.
Just checked the app store, it was updated Nov. 5th. Noticed in the tech details one of the permissions is to record audio. If that works like Alexa, access to that is blocked in a Child Profile on a Fire. That could be what is stopping it from loading.
NOTE: I do NOT speak for or represent Amazon in any fashion. This is a customer to customer forum.
