I connected my Fire 8 and 7 running versions 220.127.116.11(636559820). Both connect to the hotspot but for some reason say "Internet service not working". I can connect different tablets I have like an ipad and a google nexus 7 as well. I've called my carrier and Amazon. Amazon claims I don't have enough speed but all my other devices work? Anybody have any ideas how to start? This tablet has connected to my iphone hotspot in the past and have had no issues until now. Any help would be awesome!

Update 11/09/19: While we work to fully resolve the issue, please follow the workaround found here.
We’re having the same issue with a kindle 7. It used to connect to our iPhone hotspots (sprint & at&t) but now it’s not connecting. It still connects to our home wifi. And my MacBook connected to my phone but I can’t figure out why iPhone hotspot and kindle won’t connect anymore. Very frustrating:/
My personal hotspot on my iPhone is no longer working ever since I updated the phone to iOS 13.1.2
I keep getting a message 'Connected with problems' and the internet does not work. I have tried everything from rebooting the device to removing the plug and restarting the fire stick and all other suggestions on this forum. Nothing works! I don't know what to do at this point as my mobile hotspot is the only connection that I use internet from.
Any updates? I posted reply #2 the other day. Thought it was the iOS 13 update issue but tried on another phone still with the 12 iOS and same issue. Connects but shows “internet not working” tried on three different iphones, two phones (sprint) updated with iOS 13, the 3rd phone (AT&T)still using iOS 12.
Connected my Mac using hotspot to one of the updated iOS 13 (sprint) iPhones and it works fine.
the kindle 8 fire connects fine to a WiFi at home. Up til last week the kindle connected great to all three iPhones using the iPhones hotspot.
So I have this problem with one of my fire tablets as well. This is an amazon issue. I have 2 fire tablets that are kid versions both are 8” one that is a version 7 running the same version of os you are running and having the same issue. The other is a version 8 that is running fire OS 6.xxxx and it works fine.
I agree with Daniel above who posted reply #16. I don’t think it’s an Apple issue I think it’s an amazon issue. I tried connecting the kindle fire to an iPhone hotspot still using iOS 12 and it’s not working. It used to work a week and a half ago.
