When my brother downloads a new book and he opens it. It opens at the end and he has to scroll to the start. Is there a setting on the Fire HD 10 that we do not know about to reset this problem. My brother is not electronically inclined and hates scrolling with his finger. I know about the bottom to double tap and slide the cursor over to the left to the start. But this just started happening to his Fire HD 10. Help me if you can?
Any book that initially opens at the end has either been already read by someone on that account or has an issue from the author/publisher when it is placed for availability.
However, you don't have to scroll back to the start! On any kindle device you can move to the start. At the very least, you can move to the cover. For fires, open the book and then tap in the middle of the screen to bring up the options (it zooms out and displays options at the top). Tap on the the upper left corner (just to the right of the down arrow). Tap "Go to Beginning" in the first area or select something from "Cover" on in the Table of Contents below. That should reset the issue.

There is no such thing as a stupid question!
Corollary -- so long as you read before you post and stay on topic. :)
